Living With Grief

Help for Those Dealing with Grief

We will be hosting a Biblical study for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one following a nationally recognized curriculum sponsored by GriefShare. This program is designed to encourage us to look at our loss and its impact on our lives from God's perspective. We will learn that grief is a natural response to the loss of a loved one and that there is relief, purpose, and joy in the future.

There are 13-weekly sessions based on video, Bible study, and discussion in which we learn to accept and manage our feelings, emotions, and change in our lives. You are invited to attend as many sessions as you like and are under no obligation to attend all sessions. Please join us for an upbeat and refreshing understanding of what God has done for us and his plan for our lives.

The current series started August 21, 2022 and be Sundays at 4:00 p.m. in Room 241 and will continue for 13 weeks. Refreshments will be served, and each participant will receive a participant guide. If you are interested, contact the church office at (979) 822-2742 so we know how many workbooks we need. There are no fees or long-term commitment. We look forward to meeting you!

Formerly Known as Bethel Buddies

Help for Our Shut-in Members

The Bethel Buddies ministry is to help meet the social and spiritual needs of our shut-in members. Meet with your Buddy once a month and talk with them about what is happening at church, find out if they have needs that the church can help meet, and pray with them. The most important thing is to be a friend to them. If you would like to become a Bethel Buddy, call the church office at (979) 822-2742.

Congregation Care Ministry

Help for Members Going Through Hard Times

Bethel's Congregational Care ministry has two main components - meals and cards. The Congregational Care provides meals for members who have been hospitalized, families with new babies, or similar life events. You can contact Sally Olson if you would like to help provide meals. They also send get well cards to let members know they are being thought of. If you would like to help make or write cards, contact Evie Schlipf.
